Believe It Or Not, When You Cry A Lot It Means You Are Mentally Tough

Many people consider crying to be a sign of weakness but in reality, it can actually be a sign of strength. As a matter of fact, there are many benefits to crying and if you do so regularly, you may just be on the right track to winning at life. Something that you may find interesting is the fact that UFC champion Ronda Rousey has a good bout of crying before a fight.

In their own words: “When I’m about to fight, I’m the most emotional. Like my last fight, I like totally cried the day before that.” Some of the greatest people in history have cried, including George Washington, Pres. Obama and Abraham Lincoln. They don’t just do so privately, they even do so publicly!

Let’s see a few reasons why crying is so beneficial.

1: It means are not afraid of emotions

1

When you cry, you are forced to confront your feelings, regardless of whether they are good or bad. It’s not easy to confront emotions; it’s much easier to bury them.

2: Crying shows a lack of concern for social expectations

Many of the strongest people in the world have gone against social expectations. They did was frowned upon, because they felt it was right. Crying does not necessarily put you in line for bucking the system but it does show that you are not afraid to put aside social stigma and do what you feel is right.

3: Crying makes you a leader

2

When you cry openly, those around you are liberated. That is especially true if you cry for empathetic reasons. If you shed the first tear, other people are likely to think that it’s okay to show emotions as well.

4: It shows that you know how to offload stress

Rather than allowing stress to get to you, crying shows that you understand how to relieve it effectively.
