Clear Your Sinuses In Seconds Using Only Your Fingers

One of the more frustrating issues that many of us have to deal with is sinus congestion. When we experience it, many of us reach for some tissues or perhaps for some medication almost automatically. The fact of the matter is, however, there are other methods to try that don’t involve drugs. Those methods may be just what is necessary to clear your sinuses naturally.

Some people may scoff at the possibility of clearing a stuffy nose, stuffy ears or a stuffy head in a natural way. Perhaps they have dealt with sinus congestion in some form or another for many years. Using the following methods, however, can assist you in clearing your nose and getting the relief you need quickly and easily. You would be amazed with how fast they work.

1: Press between Your Eyebrows

This method works by removing excess mucus that can block the sinuses. It is a form of acupressure that can be applied at home. Pressing certain points of the body can trigger the flow of fluid and will help to eliminate mucus and improve your ability to breathe.

Begin by pushing the tongue flat against the roof of your mouth. While doing so, press a finger against the skin between the eyebrows and hold for 20 seconds.

When the finger is released from from between the eyebrows, you should feel a movement toward the back of the tongue. This is the mucus accumulation softening.

Some people also find that alternating between pressing between the eyebrows and pressing the tongue against the roof of the mouth works better.

2: Apply Pressure across Your Eyebrows

If you have blocked forehead sinuses, a different method may be beneficial. Applying some pressure along the eyebrows can help to move the mucus.

Begin by placing your fingers at the inside of each eyebrow, and lean your head forward to rest on your elbows. When you feel the pressure shift after a few seconds, slide the fingers to the middle of the eyebrow. Hold in that area until relief comes.

Finish the move by sliding the fingers to the outside of the eyebrows and hold/press the area for a few seconds. You may also move them in the circular motion to help stimulate this movement.

3: Mini Massage

I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t appreciate a good massage when they are suffering from sinus blockage. Massages help to get the blood flowing and enhance circulation.

You would be surprised with how much you could benefit from a mini massage in the area of your sinuses. Try the following to help relieve sinus pressure.

Use the tips of your fingers to press against the notch of your collarbone firmly. This will help to stimulate mucus flow. It should feel as if you are clearing the throat and your eyes will open as the pressure reduces.

You can also cross your hands to make a V shape and pump the sides of the neck to stimulate movement of the lymph fluid.

These acupressure techniques are described in greater detail in the following video:
