Use Bay Leaves in Your Home to Eradicate Roaches

It doesn’t matter what part of the world you live in, roaches are going to be a problem for someone. They are adaptable and resilient, even being able to withstand high levels of radiation and live without food for months at a time! They eat both animals and plants, and that is why you can find them everywhere.

When roaches leave their droppings behind, they leave chemical traces. That is how other roaches are able to find water and food so easily. It is a means of communication between roaches, and one of the reasons why an area can become infested so quickly.

If you want to get rid of cockroaches from your home once and for all, you can use that communication to your advantage. This is the perfect option for households that have family pets or kids, because there is no commercial, toxic chemicals involved.

A Natural Cockroach Repellent

Believe it or not, bay leaves are the single best cockroach repellent out there. The herb does not eliminate them, but once they smell it in the area, they will disappear quickly. Place laurel branches in the corners of your home.

You can put 10 leaves in the kitchen or garden area and the cockroaches will not be seen from that point forward. They are perfect for areas where you store food, such as the pantry or the kitchen. Putting them in the garden is also ideal if you have a pet. You can remove cockroaches without having to worry about the health of your animals

The bay leaves can either be dry or fresh. The best option is to crush the dry leaves to make a powder. The smell will be much more powerful as a result.
