Peel a Boiled Egg like a Boss

Boiled eggs are not only delicious, they are extremely healthy as well. They can be a part of your nutritious diet every day, but they can also be a source of frustration. Boiling an egg is easy, but when it comes time to peel it, do you struggle to remove the shell easily? If you do, this video will change your life!

At times, it is the simplest tips that make the greatest impact when we are trying to do something. Sure, there are plenty of ways to peel an egg and some of them work quite well but this little secret is one that you can carry with you to make your life much easier.

Here is how to make it work:

While you are boiling water to make hard-boiled eggs, take each egg and stick a thumbtack in the roundest end. You don’t want to leave it in the egg, you just want to make a small hole in the shell. It will release the pressure and keep the egg from cracking.

After the water is boiling nicely, lower the eggs gently into the pot of water using a spoon. Don’t stack them on top of each other, keep them in a single layer on the bottom. You should reduce the water to a gentle boil and leave the eggs on for approximately 10 minutes.

After the 10 minutes has expired, empty the water from the pot and shake the pot gently to cause the eggs to knock against each other. This is going to crack the egg shells.

Refill the pot a second time with cold water and allow the eggs to stay in the water for an additional 10 minutes. At that point, the eggs are not only perfectly boiled, they will be so easy to peel that you will smile while you are doing it!
