Simple Way to Clean between the Glass in Your Oven Door

Keeping the kitchen clean can be quite a chore. Not only do you have the common areas to consider, such as the countertops, cabinets and sink, you also need to consider some out-of-the-way areas as well.

One of those areas is the oven and even if you use a self-cleaning feature, you may still have some extra cleaning. One of the areas that needs additional cleaning is between the glass on the oven door.

It can be very frustrating to have the glass in place and to be unable to see what is inside of the oven! Fortunately, the method of cleaning this part of the kitchen is rather simple and it will not only help to improve the appearance, it will make your kitchen much more hygienic as well.

1

The first step is to clean the oven, either by using the self-cleaning feature or by using another method, such as a baking soda scrub.

Then it is time to move to the hard-to-reach area between the glass. For that project, you will need a torx screwdriver.

2

If you already have the right torx screwdriver, you’re in luck but if you don’t, you can pick one up at a local hardware store for around $5. Unscrew the screws at the top of the door on the inside and then clean the hole using a vacuum hose. You can then clean the glass using window cleaner.

3

There are many ways to clean the oven. As we discussed, you can use a baking soda and white vinegar scrub or other natural methods. There are also many commercial methods available to buy at a local store.

When cleaning the oven, however, don’t forget the hidden no man’s land that exists between the glass panes. Now that you know how easy it is to clean, you will never have to worry about it being dirty again.
