When we are looking for something to sit around the house, we will typically turn our attention to yard sales or auctions. You can certainly pick up something wonderful at one of these locations but you also have the ability to make something yourself.
Sometimes, you may find something at a yard sale that is absolutely perfect for a DIY project. That is what this person discovered when they bought a 25 gallon wine barrel for only $10 at a yard sale. When he was done transforming it into an awesome wine rack, I couldn’t believe how great it turned out.
He started by labeling the barrel staves and hoops
He removed the hoops with a chisel and wooden mallet to dismantle the barrel
A fresh coat of stain was added to the boards
The barrel was reassembled
A portion of the barrel was cut away were the wine rack would be installed
A small glass and wine holder was added and a mini wine rack was inserted. He found them at a secondhand store. Some flair came in the form of a string of LED lights.
It is difficult to believe that this beautiful wine rack was made with a $10 yard sale item
I need one of these in my home right now!
