2. White Spots
White spots are known as leukonychia. They are relatively common and occur when injuries to the base of the nail take place. Those injuries can occur from manicures or by bumping or banging the nail. In addition, white spots could be a sign of an allergic reaction to nail products or may be an indication that you have a mild infection. The most common reason they occur is due to a nutritional deficiency.
