When most of us think about Vicks vapor rub, we think about something we rub on our chest that helps to clear up congestion. Although that is the most common way in which it is used, it certainly is not the only way. 1. Horrible Smells
You can learn this trick from many nurses. If you have to be around harsh smells, put a little under your nose and it will cover-up stench
2. Headaches
All types of headaches may benefit from the use of Vicks vapor rub, especially sinus headaches. Rub some on your temples and forhead.
3. Mosquitoes
Many different types of insects, including mosquitoes, hate the smell of Vicks vapor rub. Put some on the inside of your knees, elbows, behind the ears and on your neck to repel these pests.
4. Ticks
One of the ways in which you can use Vicks vapor rub is to remove a tick. Spread some on the tick and it will likely back out and let go.
5. Lip balm
When you’re out of Chapstick, put some VapoRub on your chapped lips for a soothing treat.
6. Sleep
A humidifier can help you sleep better but when you add a little bit of Vicks to the compartment, it will help you sleep like a baby.
7. Heels
If you have cracked, callused feet, skip the fancy pedicure and grab some Vicks vapor rub. Put it on your feet and then cover them with socks all night.
8. Acne
Spread Vicks vapor rub on areas where you are likely to get acne and you should start seeing results within a week.
9. Stretch marks
Many people swear by this trick. Rub Vicks vapor rub into your stretch marks and after a couple of weeks you’ll see a difference.
10. House training
If your dog tends to visit the same areas in the home to have an “accident”, open a jar of Vicks vapor rub and leave it in the area. They will avoid it like the plague.
