More and more frequently, people are becoming aware of how much trash they throw to the curb. Much of it takes centuries to deteriorate, if it ever does. Although recycling is in place in most communities, people still throw out small items, such as baby food jars, rather than separating them for the recycling center.
If you make use of baby food jars on a regular basis, you will not want to throw them away after you see this unique project. Simply gather some together along with a few other small pieces and before you know it, you will have this perfect item that is awesome for the patio, front porch or anywhere outdoors.
This project comes from the blog, Make Life Lovely, and the idea is so awesome, and so easy, you will rush to duplicate it.
The first step is to gather the necessary items, several baby food jars, clamps, hooks and an old piece of wood.
Clean the wood with an old wire brush, but try to maintain the rustic look.
Choose how many rows of jars you want and then simply screw the clamps in place where you want them to be.
Attached two hooks to the top of the wood so you can hang the project at a later time.
After the hardware is in place, put the smaller jars on the top row and the larger jars on the bottom.
After you put the jar inside of a clamp, tighten the clamp so that the jar is secure.
Attach a long piece of rope to the hooks on top of the wood so you can hang it on the wall.
This project would look fantastic in any area outside. Many people use it on their patio, but it could even be used inside the house.
The next step is to fill the jars. You can easily take them in and out of the clamps if desired or fill them in place.
In this example, the top row is flowers in water and the bottom row is flowers planted in soil.
You might also want to consider having tea light candles in the upper row and a row of flowers below.
The options are endless.
