When a woman is pregnant, she certainly has a lot to concern
herself with. It is not only a matter of preparing for the young
child, is making sure that both she and the baby are safe and
sound.
One of the things that a pregnant woman does on almost a daily
basis is to get into a car and travel from point A to point B. When
you are pregnant, it is important to consider special safety
factors that will keep you and your unborn child safe. Here are a
few to think about.
Don’t Drive – If you don’t have to drive in
your last trimester, don’t do it. The steering will is far too
close to the baby and even a small bump in a fender bender could
spell disaster.

Wear Your Seatbelt Properly – Regardless of
whether you drive or not, you need to know how to wear your
seatbelt properly. Be sure to go under and around so that the strap
doesn’t injure the baby in case of an accident.

Sit Back – When you’re wearing a seatbelt, even
if you are wearing it properly, remain sitting upright. Leaning
forward puts too much pressure on your belly.

Use a Bump Belt – Bump belts are specifically
made for women who are pregnant. It is designed to go under the
belly and keep the baby safe.
