Most people would agree that it is important to know the basics
of first-aid. The unfortunate reality is, however, very few people
know how to do it. We’ve all seen some of it being done in movies,
such as CPR, but if you are faced with the need to do it in real
life, would you know what to do? If you have this first-aid blanket
available, it can help to save lives. It may not provide you with
all the training you need, but it can walk you through the
basics.
This blanket was designed by Zhejiang University, China. It won
the prestigious red dot award for conceptual design in 2014 and is
designed for assisting with individuals who are drowning. It
provides information on how to check for circulation, how to
unblock airways and how to correctly administer CPR. Even if you
don’t understand the basics of first-aid, the instructions provide
you with what you need to get through it. They are clearly printed
alongside diagrams that provide the step by step instructions
necessary until paramedics are able to arrive on the scene.
