If you look in the medicine cabinet or perhaps somewhere underneath the bathroom sink, you’re going to find a bottle of unused baby powder. Many people consider this powder to be used for keeping sweat to a minimum or perhaps to use on babies when changing their nappy.
Although it certainly can be used for that purpose, there are also many interesting ways to use it that you may never have considered before. Just make sure that you use a baby powder with cornstarch and not with talc. Using talc can really harm your health, as it is a known carcinogen.

1. On your eyelashes
After applying the first coat of mascara, apply some powder to your lashes with the Q-tip. Finish with a second coat of mascara to make your lashes look extra long.
2. Untangle necklaces
Sprinkle some baby powder on the knotted areas of the necklace and rub the knot between your fingers.
3. Dry shampoo
When your hair is extra greasy and oily and you don’t have time to have a shower, sprinkle some baby powder on your hair. Massage it into the roots and scalp, brush until you can no longer see the powder.
4. Oil stains
When you have oil stains on your clothes, apply some baby powder on both sides, dab at the grease and let it sit for an hour. This will allow the powder to absorb the oil. Wash the garment as you normally would.
5. Sand removal
When you have wet and sticky sand on your feet after visiting the beach, sprinkle some baby powder on the area. The powder removes the moisture in the sand will fall off of your feet.

On a hot night, sprinkle baby powder between the sheets for freshness. It smells great too!

When accidents happen, use baby powder to remove the pet odor from the carpets or upholstered furniture. Sprinkle it on, wait an hour and vacuum.
