I remember using hydrogen peroxide when I was younger. Anytime I would get a cut or scrape, my mother would get it out of the medicine cabinet and apply it to the area before putting on a bandage. There was something magical about the way that it bubbled, but now I know that it was fighting bacteria and cleaning the area.

Hydrogen peroxide is somewhat of a miracle solution. Although we may use it for cuts and scrapes, it will also handle many other chores around the home as well. The following 15 tips are some amazing ways you can use hydrogen peroxide that you may never have considered before.

1. Stains – Those yellow underarm stains can be history when you soak the area in the hydrogen peroxide before washing the shirt.

2. Floors – Put some hydrogen peroxide in a gallon of hot water and you will love how it makes the floors look.

3. Plants – Include some hydrogen peroxide in your plants diet and it will help to fight harmful fungus.

4. Hair – Would you like some highlights in your hair? Make a solution of 1:1 hydrogen peroxide and water and spritz it on your hair. Comb it through and it should provide natural, soft highlights.

5. Pesticides – If you are trying to get more fruits and vegetables in your diet, make sure that you wash the pesticides off first. Mix 1/4 cup hydrogen peroxide in a sink of cold water to soak your vegetables. Don’t forget to rinse them in cold water afterwards!
