Take a look in your kitchen cupboard or in the drawer under your stove. More than likely, you will be able to find at least one (if not multiple) baking dishes and sheets that need a lot of work. After all, even the cleanest of cooks have difficulties getting those brown spots removed from baked on grease, sprays and food.
Although it may be a common issue, it is also one that is less than attractive. That is why we were so excited when we learned this awesome tip that we keep our entire arsenal of baking dishes as clean as a whistle. It may take a little bit of elbow grease, but you are also using brainpower to outsmart those stains.
The first trick is rather simplistic, although don’t overlook its effectiveness. To get started, you will need a toothbrush, aluminum foil, baking soda, water and liquid dish soap. Mix the ingredients into a baking soda scrub. Dip the toothbrush in the soda and scrub the baking sheet in a circular motion. Allow it to dry for 20 or 30 minutes before scrubbing it with a crumpled up ball of aluminum foil. It works like magic!
For the second tip, you will need some baking soda, hydrogen peroxide and a scrubbing pad.
Sprinkle the baking soda on the sheet, and some peroxide and then sprinkle on more baking soda. Leave it to dry for 2 hours and it comes clean without scrubbing.
If you’d like to clean up your aluminum trays, gather the following materials together. Distilled white vinegar, water, a cooking pot and scrubbing pad. Boil a 1:1 mixture of vinegar and water and allow it to cool. Use the scrubbing pad and this mixture to scour off the stains.
Finally, this is an awesome tip for copper pots. Sprinkle some table salt on the pot and then douse the whole pot with vinegar. Now add more salt and scrub away the mess.
These tips may be simple, but they can really take your kitchen cleaning to the next level. No more hiding those pots and pans, you will want to display them openly.
