Ironing boards were used for many years and in some cases, it seems like they were never put away because the job was never done. In today’s households, Ironing boards are less frequently seen but from time to time, they are still necessary for certain types of clothing.
Many of us have an old ironing board laying around that we don’t use any longer. Perhaps it belonged to a relative or it may just be an old item that we used years ago but find that we are not using any longer. Rather than tossing these items to the curb, you can make them into something quite awesome with just a little forethought on your part.
The following are some of our favorite uses for old ironing boards. Which one would you try?
Accent Table

Simply remove the cover from the board and you have a table ready to go

Work Desk

Your old ironing board and a chair will create a space for getting some work done. When you are not using it, it folds up conveniently.
Craft Tool Storage

Drill a few holes in that old wooden ironing board and add some shelving. You can store many of your craft supplies on one of these.
Jewelry

Drill holes to create a jewelry station. It helps to keep them neat and untangled.

Similar to the jewelry stand, but you can hang it on the wall rather than resting it on the floor.
