There are times when the perfect solution to a problem is right under your nose and if you don’t think about it, it might just be gone before you are able to use it!
That is the case with an old barstool that had a cracked seat. It seemed as if it was unusable as nobody could sit on it safely but once it was transformed by flipping it upside down and doing a little bit of work to it, it was absolutely amazing!
If you’re looking for a place to store some unusual items, such as wrapping supplies (the ones that are on the top shelf of your closet in the old box), this is the perfect solution for you.
If you already have a broken barstool, you are in luck. Of course, the stool doesn’t have to be broken for it to work quite well.
Grab some fun paint and give the stool a fresh coat.
Add 4 wheels to the top of the seat and flip it upside down.
Pillowcases can be attached to the side of the stool. If you use longer pillowcases, is perfect for storing tissue paper and gift bags.
Shorter pillow cases can also be used for smaller items, such as gift tags, old pens and tape.
Finally, fill the inside of the stool with all of your wrapping paper. The height of the stool and the shape are perfect for this purpose. It’s like they were made for each other!
More than likely, your wrapping paper and giftwrapping supplies are all in a little box. Since you don’t pull it out very often, you probably don’t know what supplies you have available until you take everything out of the box. That is no longer going to be a problem, as it will all be easily accessible!
If you really want to make this project simple, buy some Velcro and attach the pillowcases to the stool using Velcro loops. Don’t forget to add the wheels, because it makes it quite easy to take it from one area of the home to another for all of your giftwrapping means.
It doesn’t matter if you want to store it in an out-of-the-way corner or even in the garage, it does not have a large footprint. Considering the fact that you are now organized for all of your giftwrapping needs makes it well worth it.
