If you have ever struggled with trying to come up with the perfect costume for your child, you will truly appreciate what this one mother did. It took her four days, and she created a costume that her son is going to remember for the rest of his life.
Stephanie Pokorny crocheted a costume for her son, Jack, and it is absolutely brilliant. It is an ET costume and her two-year-old son looks absolutely adorable in it. The costume was done freehand, which is amazing on its own.
She learn how to crochet when she was a teenager. Her grandmother had taught her how to do it.
It’s true that Jack is a little young to understand who E.T. is, as he was not around for the original film, but he loves hamming it up in the costume. This one not only shows off her son, it shows off her love for the 1980s.
She also made him an Absolem costume (the caterpillar from Alice in Wonderland). Her other son, Jake, wore a Clint Eastwood costume from “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.”
