The traditional medicine from China has been used for millennia, and one that is perhaps not as popular as it should be is a combination of cinnamon and honey. This mixture is a traditional homemade medicine and it combines one of the healthiest foods on the planet, honey, with one of the oldest spices, cinnamon.
The essential oil of cinnamon and enzymes found in honey produce hydrogen peroxide. There are the most powerful antimicrobial components when you combine these two together and they help to stop the growth of both bacteria and fungi. There are a number of health benefits to using this combination, including the following:
Common cold – When you have a cold, a chronic cough or nasal congestion, a tablespoon of honey with 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon should be taken for three days.
Flu – The natural ingredients in honey effectively destroy viruses and prevent the flu
Cholesterol – Add 2 tablespoons honey and 3 teaspoons cinnamon in a cup of tea. Drinking it will help to reduce cholesterol levels within two hours by 10%.
Arthritis – Drink the following twice a day, in the morning and the evening. 2 tablespoons honey and a teaspoon of cinnamon powder in a glass of warm water.
Immune system – Consuming this mixture on a regular basis will help to prevent viruses and bacterial infections by boosting the immune system
Acne – Honey and cinnamon mixed to prepare a paste applied on acne at bedtime can help with this problem.
Stomachache – Regularly consuming a cinnamon and honey mixture can help to treat ulcers and alleviate a sore stomach.
Gallbladder – 1 teaspoon of honey and 2 tablespoon cinnamon powder in a glass of warm water consumed daily can destroy microbes in the gallbladder.
Heart attacks – A paste of cinnamon and honey spread on a slice of bread in the morning helps to lower cholesterol and prevent heart attacks.
Cancer – The combination of honey and cinnamon has been shown to treat stomach cancer. Consume a mixture of a tablespoon of cinnamon and a tablespoon of honey every day for three months.
Hair loss – Mixing a tablespoon of cinnamon and a teaspoon of olive oil and a tablespoon of honey and applying it to the scalp for 15 minutes may help with hair loss.
Weight loss – Boiling cinnamon powder in honey and a glass of water and drinking it on an empty stomach 30 minutes before the breakfast can help you lose weight. Put honey in a pot and heat it. Add the cinnamon until you get a caramel like mixture. Take a teaspoon of the mixture 30 minutes before meals.
