4. The Blue Area of Your Eraser
Most people assume that the blue part of the eraser is to remove pen marks but that isn’t exactly true. Originally, it was intended for use with thicker paper. The pink part would often leave traces behind on thicker paper, but the blue part would remove everything. The companies that made erasers realized the people didn’t understand the purpose so they started promoting it to remove pen marks.
