Many of us look forward to summer all throughout the winter months. We long for the days when the sunshine will be bright, the weather will be warmer and we get to spend time outdoors with our family. That isn’t even to mention summer vacation, and the fact that many families tend to go away during the summer months as well.
Although the summer can be a lot of one for the family, it can also be dangerous if you have your children in a crowd.
A California police department is offering some advice to parents that you would do well to heed. They want you to be prepared in case you are separated from your child, and their advice is going to save lives.
“Taking your young child to a big event, theme park, or other busy location?” begins the post. “Write your phone number on their wrist and cover it with liquid band aid in case you get separated.”
The post features instructional images from a mother and blogger, who gives some very sound advice. Take a picture of your children in the morning with your cell phone and have a list of what they are wearing, their hairstyle and anything else that would help to identify the children.
The Clovis Police Department says that the advice is a repost that they shared back in September. Since that time, it has been shared over 7000 times and they claim that it’s one of the most popular posts ever!
Now that it has been reposted, it has reached over 27,000 shares and 3000 likes!
Although it may be unpleasant to think about the possibility of losing your child in a crowd, you should never allow yourself to be unprepared. Take the proper measures now and it could save your child’s life.
