At one time, pool noodles were the ultimate addition to the swimming pool, because they helped us to keep afloat, and they were the perfect toy for having a battle with a sibling.
Today, pool noodles are still used in the backyard but they can also be used throughout the home in a variety of ways as well.
If you have never used pool noodles outside of the pool, you’re in for a real treat. As you look through these various options for using this rather versatile item, you will find many reasons to run straight to the pool store and pick up a few for yourself.
Although the uses of pool noodles are endless, here are some of our favorite uses to get you started.
Refreshment – With some rope and pieces of pool noodle, you can build this floating plastic tub to keep your beverages chilled.
Flow Control – Do you find it difficult to fill a bucket? Slip a pool noodle over the faucet and the other end in the bucket. Problem solved.
Stop the Draft – Keep comfortable this winter and save money on your energy bill. Remove the gap under the door with these simple instructions.
Bumper Cars – Do you deal with tight quarters in the garage? Attach a pool noodle to the wall and save your car doors.
Plant Support – Split the pool noodle lengthwise and slip it around your sunflowers or tomato plants. It will help to give them some additional support.
