Scientists Have Discovered Rosemary Fights Dementia, Increases Memory And More

Recent study by scientists have discovered that Rosemary is able to help with memory loss and it may even be able to slow down the issues associated with Alzheimer’s disease. Mark Moss, along with his team of scientists, did research on the effects of the scent of Rosemary on the brain. They used rosemary essential oils and what they found was absolutely amazing.

According to the research, there was a direct connection between the scent of Rosemary and an improvement in cognitive function. More specifically, the scent of Rosemary seems to help with memory retention. After smelling rosemary essential oils, the test subjects were able to improve their scores on a wide variety of tests associated with visualization and the sign recalled.

A separate study was conducted to prove if Alzheimer’s and dementia patient could benefit through the use of Rosemary aromatherapy. They discovered that it also had a positive affect associated with improved cognitive abilities.

Part of the study stated the following:

All patients showed significant improvement in… cognitive function on both [tests] after therapy. In particular, patients with Alzheimer’s showed significant improvement in total scores.
