This DIY Makes It Easy to Clean the Bathroom

It is important to ensure that the entire home is clean but you never want to neglect the bathroom. It is the room that most people would rather ignore, but if you don’t clean it regularly, it will become a breeding ground for some pretty gross bacteria.

Cleaning the sink isn’t difficult, because you can just spray and wipe and the shower is fairly easy if you have the right tools. The toilet, however, tends to be somewhat of a nightmare but if you make these DIY toilet bombs, you never have to worry about scrubbing again.

All you need to do is toss one in the bowl and let the fizzing bubbles take care of the rest.

You First Need to Gather Your Ingredients:

1/2 cup baking soda
1/2 cup citric acid
1/2 cup corn starch
25 drops of essential oil (citrus is ideal)
A spray bottle filled with water
A mold
Gallon sized ziplock bag
Ziplock baggies

Here Is How You Do It:

1) Combine the dry ingredients in a gallon size Ziploc bag and shake until they are mixed

2) Spray the ingredients a few times with a spray bottle and then continue to kneed them inside of the bag

3) Continue to repeat the second step until it is a dough-like consistency

4) Add 25 drops of essential oil to the mixture. You can use any fragrance you like but citrus is a favorite.

5) Firmly press the mixture into the molds.

6) Allow a few days for the mixture to harden

7) Remove them from the mold and allow them to dry two more days

8) Store them in Ziploc bags till you want to use them

When it’s time to use one, simply drop it into the toilet bowl and walk away.

A quick wipe of the inside of the bowl is all that is necessary to have a perfectly clean toilet with very little effort.
